Final Report on the Sinoe Senatorial And Montserrado District 13

On 20 November 2018 bi-elections were held in Sinoe County for the Senate seat vacated by Cllr Joseph N. Nagbe who has been appointed to the Supreme Court and for Montserrado District 13 to replace the Representative seat left vacant when Saah H. Joseph won the senatorial seat. Due to senatorial elections being held in 2020 the remaining term of office in Sinoe is for 18 months.

There were 11 candidates standing for election in Montserrado District 13. ANC and LP did not field candidates but leant their support to the UP-candidate Cornelia Kruah Togba. The CDC candidate was John Jrogbe Weah Jr. There were several independent candidates including Edward Papay Flomo Jr, a local businessman and ex-bodyguard of the current president.
