Survey Findings on Challenges Affecting Women’s Participation in Electoral Processes in Liberia

The Liberia Election Observation Network (LEON) conducted a nationwide survey in May 2022 to gain a better understanding of the experiences of women’s, participation in political and electoral processes of Liberia including an understanding of socio-economic opportunities and challenges, educational background, and interest in or barriers to involvement in democratic spaces. This survey also aimed to ascertain how this information can best be used to strengthen and inform recommendations to key stakeholders and influence increased women participation in electoral and political processes across community and government levels.
