Press Statement on Campaign

LEON Hails the Start of the Campaign and Re-echoes the Call for a  Peaceful Electoral Process in Liberia

Monrovia – The Liberia Elections Observation Network (LEON) calls upon politicians,  supporters of political parties and all Liberians to proceed in a civil, peaceful and nonviolent manner ahead of Liberia’s historic 2017 Election in October. LEON considers this electoral process as confirmation of the strength of Liberia’s democracy.

The campaign opened at midnight on July 31, 2017. Since then, LEON observers across all 73 electoral districts have observed the following.
