Elections development January 2023

As the 2023 general and Presidential Elections draws closer, LEON monitors (LTOs) has started monitoring key election related developments being carry out by Liberia’s electoral body the National Election Commission (NEC) in the in the 73 electoral districts in addition to social economic issues. This January report covers updates on BVR awareness and social economic activities monitored by our monitors in alignment with our Election Observation Roadmap. As indicated in our roadmap, LEON will keep an eye on pre- during and post-election activities, and monitor the general political environment in all electoral districts in the 15 political subdivisions across Liberia.
